*Monitor : The monitors measure rejection rate of the RO membrane in
terms of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) When the membrane's performance
falls below a 70% rejection, the service light will illuminate. The push
button units are located on the RO manifold and may not be accessible,
while the faucet monitored versions activate each time water is drawn
and are more visible.
** Gallons Per Day: This specification is rated by the Mfgr at 60psig at
70 degrees F. Since the usable capacity of an RO system in limited by
the storage tank, the units with the larger GPD rating will refill the
storage tank faster. Higher output RO systems will send more water to
drain, however the trickling noise commonly heard will be for a shorter
period of time with the larger systems.
